LA Gang Wars

Ok so two nights ago i was watching a donumentary on LA gang wars on National Geographic Channel. It was really interesting because I never knew why people exactly wanted to be apart of a gang...but now i see wwhy. the way the gang mambers explained it was because they didnt really have a family. the "OG" which stands for Original Gangster is like a father-figure they never had. I have also learned that gang activity is increasing drasitcally in the Western and Eastern part of the United states. The uprising of gang violence is at a severe high. People are dieing as we speak just because they are rivals. its soo weird taht one can b shot for stepping on "turf" that didnt belong to them...its quite sad.
